New Year, New Life Update

It feels like months since I have last written a blog post, but really it’s only been one.

I’ve written three drafts of this blog post, each one not feeling right. That may be my inner critic talking, bashing me down. Truth be told, a lot has happened in only a few months, and it’s hard to figure out where to start.

The Sporadic Life Update

Well, here we are again. One year of this blog being official.

What has happened in the one year? I’ve already talked about my job closing down, grief, and seeing my favorite podcast live (still one of the top ten moments in the year). What else? It’s like when people ask you “how was school?” and you have to try REALLY hard about what school ACTUALLY has been like. Otherwise, everything goes out the ears.

What I’ve Been up to

I was recently on a Zoom call with the English department at my old university, where I talked about our senior thesis, or capstone. At one point, the students broke off into groups to discuss any potential ideas they had for their capstone, while I stayed on the call to help students with any questions they had. A few of my professors saw me and asked what I had been up to.
