2025 Movie Wrap-Up

Every year I try to watch at least one new-to-me movie a week. Every year I underperform that goal. This year I made it a little over halfway with 32 movies in the 52 weeks of 2025!

(These reviews will probably be a sentence or two long, since it’s been a while since I’ve seen some of these movies–except for the ones I have BIG opinions on (looking at you, Blues Brothers 2000)).

Riddle of Fire Review: The Neo-Fairy Tale of Your Dreams

One of my favorite hobbies is going onto IMDB and looking at the posters for upcoming movies and TV. Sometimes I’ll find something that I’m interested in, and I’ll add it to my watchlist. That’s what happened with Weston Razooli’s debut Riddle of Fire.

Do these things automatically make me a nerd? Maybe, or maybe it’s the attitude toward stereotypically nerd things.

I also play Dungeons and Dragons. Well, I try to. They say one of the biggest enemies in DnD is not the dungeons ordragons, but scheduling and conflicts. Needless to say, I’m still well aware of the game and was still super excited for Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

When Netflix announced a one-week theatrical release for Glass Onion, I, like many, rushed to see Rian Johnson’s follow-up to his 2019 hit Knives Out. This blog post will contain spoilers for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, so be sure to tread with caution!
