About Me

Like many writers, I had been writing and creating since I was very young. I can remember creating complex storylines and universes with my toys at a young age, and writing down page after page of dialogue in my film classes in high school. I knew that I wanted to write, to create, when I grew up.

I can pinpoint the exact moment where I wanted to pursue writing professionally was in high school, where I was completing my final for film class, a short film (go figure). There was one day of filming where the main character makes an impassioned speech to the antagonist. Someone was reciting lines, that I wrote! It made my heart soar, and I knew then I wanted to make this dream a reality.

I recently graduated college with a BA in English and Film, while also having experience working at my school’s student newspaper (eventually becoming one of the editors) and participating on one of the school’s improv troupes (eventually becoming one of the captains). Needless to say, I wear a lot of hats.

Currently I am aiming to get my Certificate in Screenwriting for Film, which has been an amazing experience.

This blog is a way for me to continue writing and creating while I get my life together post-grad (and navigating this kinda scary thing called life and job-searching. It’s another outlet, a way for me to get my thoughts out there, post writing consistently, and become more confident in sharing my work and receiving feedback.

So, welcome! Glad you’re here!
