I’ve always heard about the Life is Strange games, and I was lucky enough to find a copy for my switch! I had a blast playing it, and when I went back to replay it, I noticed a lot more things than I did the first go-around! Below are my thoughts I had while play the game, and the questions that would come up!
Questions I thought of while playing the first Life is Strange Game in 2023
- Okay WHY is Max taking a selfie ON HER INSTANT CAMERA IN THE MIDDLE OF CLASS?! Of course she’s gonna get called out! I understand this was before smartphones, but dear lord my girl already doesn’t have a lot of braincells.
- Damn this girl Max is judgy as hell! But she’s a teenager so it makes sense.
- Soooo the principal doesn’t believe a student who said another student had a gun? Just cuz he is a prestigious student and his family donates to the school?
- Why would Victoria need a 3D printer for her dorm room??
- As kinda judgy Max is towards the other students, most of them are real nice to her.
- Okay so I know that David is like…trying to protect the students or whatever, but why is he targeting Kate Marsh of all people? Like, he should be looking into Victoria or, I dunno, Prescott??
- Yo why is Warren….kinda sucky? And a lil creepy??
- Yay Ashley Burch!!
- Bruh Kate was roffied at a party and NO ONE IS CONCERNED?
- Chloe’s mom is a gosh darn SAINT
- As much as I love Chloe she is a bit of a jerk at first.
- Are they seriously looking straight at the sun during the eclipse??
- There’s…a lot of anti-social media/texting stuff here. Also anti-selfie??
- I will do my best to never ever kill the dog.
- Danggg okay William Price! Also his voice! 10/10!!
- Holy moly the ending of episode 3 is one of the BIGGEST cliffhangers of any kind of media I have consumed ever! I can’t imagine waiting two months to play episode four. Good thing I bought the whole remastered edition.
- Okay okay okay, yeah that’s a great photo, but how does THAT symbolize “everyday heros” and not…the photo of the firefighter?
- God that dream sequence is probably the scariest thing I have experienced in games so far (and I really haven’t played a lot of horror/scary games).
- Dude everyone loves max and they wanna make plans w her, and they all hate Nathan and the Vortex club…and they all have dreams and aspirations…ugh this makes the ending real sad
- Of course I saved Chloe. What am I, a monster? I literally played the game, LOOKED UP what the right choices were to get her to fall in love with me.
Some final, overall thoughts:
- Here’s my thing: why couldn’t Max have like…said something to the town? Like “Hi I have a bad feeling about all this crazy weather, maybe we should EVACUATE THE TOWN??” Or, as a matter of fact, why couldn’t they HAVE EVACUATED THE TOWN IN THE FIRST PLACE?!
- I would die for all the women in this game.
- The music in this game SLAPS.
- Max’s comments about her “being nosy” might be in reference to, when in games when you search for stuff, you inadvertently search through the npc’s stuff
- The continuity (and lake thereof) in this game makes me cringeeee i know it was made years ago but still ughhh
- Yea yeah okay the dialogue is cringy as heck, but goddamn this game has some of the best cliffhangers, surprise villains, and atmospheric storytelling I’ve played.
- Is Blackwell…a high school, or a college??
