I took a roadtrip during the first week of October, and brought my instant camera with me to capture some fun memories. Here are the best ones.

After a fun skating session with my friend Irene, we were walking back to my car and I thought the quiet, empty amusement park was so compelling. There are a few things I would have liked to have done differently, using a lighter photo mode, maybe moving closer to the park, but I think there’s still an eerie vibe here.

Here is where I entered “director mode” while spending time with my friend Irene–they looked incredible in the setting sun. The framing in this shot, along with the lighting, just makes this piece wonderful.

I took this photo while driving through Oregon to see my friend for her birthday. I saw this street sign, and thought it was such a hoot. With instant photography, it’s hard to tell if a subject is centered or in focus, and I think I got very lucky with this shot.

Whenever I visit Oregon, I always make it a point to visit Powells. While I didn’t have time to visit the whole-city block wide City of Books, I made my way to the Cedar Hills location to pick up some books that have been on my TBR for a while.

My friend Bekah and I were going to see a local play while I was in town, but the production was canceled about an hour before I drove into town. So, we decided to make the best of it, and made a day of walking around in our college town. This was another instance of winging it and the shot coming out amazing–I love how you can see Bek’s back tattoos, and the details in the books.

I got to meet Bekah’s new kittens while we were out and about, and I tried taking a few instant photos of the little guys, being kittens it was hard to get them to be still subjects. Therefore this was the best I could get.

Not much to say about this piece, other than I’m very proud about it. I love the silhouette of one of the people holding the flag, and the bright colors coming from the flag.

I was so, SO happy with how clear and in focus this shot is. The only way I can describe this photo is Queer Joy–the smiles of the people on the float, the colors of the flags, even with how blue the sky is.

Another photo I took during the Southern Oregon Pride parade. I loved how I was about to capture Miss Jaxson’s kiss to the crowd in her pink convertible.
